There has been a lot of international outrage against policies in Europe and the Americas which are targeted at shutting out migrants, refugees and foreigners. In a recently signed Executive Order by the President of the United States, three African countries (Libya, Somalia & Sudan) were banned from entering the U.S. But this trend of expelling migrants and hating on foreigners did not just start today. In Africa, countries like Ghana (in 1969), Uganda (in 1972), Nigeria (in 1983), and more recently - South Africa (in 2008, 2015 & 2017), have treated foreigners with disdain.

In this episode of Kusema Africa, we speak to the issues. Watch below and do engage with us.
